Graphic Design Festival Breda (GDFB) is a biannual festival of graphic design. The festival goes into present developments on this subject and a large part of it takes place in the public space.

GDFB 2012 theme is Visual Storytelling. Approximately 60 speakers will share their personal approach to design. The lectures will take place on 3 days and is the perfect opportunity for GDFB visitors to fully experience visual storytelling.

A festival that will surprise the public and inspire the professionals by showing the communicative powers of graphic design within our daily visual culture. In a surprising though perceptible manner, talented designers connect graphic design, technology (like new media), social context (the presence of graphic design in one’s daily life) and the individual (the consumer).

The festival is not only meant for designers, but aims for a broader public. GDFB reaches the audience with presentation in the public space, thus creating something to think about your personal connection to visual culture. The festival really is one of a kind and unparalleled in the world. Only in Breda, graphic design reaches the public at such close quarters. Also, the festival offers the professional audiences insight in contemporary developments in the craft by means of exhibitions, lectures and workshops.
