Diversity NOW!
ARTS THREAD has partnered with All Walks Beyond the Catwalk as the platform for Diversity NOW! – a competition for UK students, with over twenty leading universities nationwide signed up to participate and more expected.
With competition deadline of February 15 2013, Diversity NOW! is the latest campaign from All Walks, founded by Caryn Franklin, Debra Bourne and Erin O’ Connor to use fashion for positive change.
Caryn Franklin tells us: ‘At All Walks, we believe that fashion is such a powerful medium that it could and should think about the individuals who model it because this imagery is broadcast everywhere and effects how we feel. Fashion students today are the future of the industry tomorrow and in a few years from now will be in a position to have an opinion about the importance of diversity to our self-esteem.’ Link to Diversity NOW! competition
