Equip’Innov Competition
ARTS THREAD has teamed up with Paris-based Equip’Hotel, the key global trade event in the hospitality and catering sector, for a competition aimed at graduate product and interior designers. There are 5 categories: bar, dining-room, lighting, bathroom and terrace. All entries should be uploaded onto ARTS THREAD before October 01 2012 and clearly marked with the category chosen. Designersblock at London Design Festival
This year Designersblock take over the Southbank Centre September 20-23 2012 during the London Design Festival, with a raft of seriously interesting spaces including the Royal Festival Hall and the Queen Elizabeth Hall – some of which have never been seen by the public. ARTS THREAD will be there in person every day of the show at the information hub – more info to follow!
Designersblock is planning a whole series of workshops during the event including Pimp your Pots by The New English, Revamp your old furniture by Out of the Dark and 3D Scanning by designer Matthew Plummer Fernandez. In addition, ARTS THREAD will be running Design Tours every hour throughout Sunday 23 September – come and meet the designers in person as we introduce you to their work.
