ARTS THREAD AT PSFK’S LONDON CONFERENCE
Each year, ideas site PSFK.com brings its celebration of creativity and talent to London in the form of a day-long conference. Speakers come from well-known companies like Jaguar, emerging mega-brands like Rapha and the start-up community.
At the heart of PSFK CONFERENCE LONDON is a special panel that explores how the young creative professionals plan to apply themselves in the workplace. In a special partnership with ARTS THREAD, PSFK’s Director of Consulting Scott Lachut will present new ARTS THREAD members Christopher Hall, Lior Smith, Nadine Spencer and Rosie Thompson alongside ARTS THREAD co-founder and director Alex Brownless to discuss the needs, wants and desires of a generation fueling a new era of business.

Designersblock at London Design Festival
Designersblock 2012: Yuki Uebo / Tortie Hoare
This year Designersblock take over the Southbank Centre September 20-23 2012 during the London Design Festival, with a raft of seriously interesting spaces including the Royal Festival Hall and the Queen Elizabeth Hall – some of which have never been seen by the public. ARTS THREAD will be there in person every day of the show at the information hub – more info to follow!
With Designersblock this September are a series of ARTS THREAD members including Camilla Barnard, Daniel Schofield, Harry Trimble, Katy Jennings, Tortie Hoare and Yuki Uebo.
Designersblock is planning a whole series of workshops during the event including Pimp your Pots by The New English, Revamp your old furniture by Out of the Dark and 3D Scanning by designer Matthew Plummer Fernandez. In addition, ARTS THREAD will be running Design Tours every hour throughout Sunday 23 September – come and meet the designers in person as we introduce you to their work. Equip’Innov Competition
Equip'Innov Competition
ARTS THREAD has teamed up with Paris-based Equip’Hotel, the key global trade event in the hospitality and catering sector, for a competition aimed at graduate product and interior designers. There are 5 categories: bar, dining-room, lighting, bathroom and terrace. All entries should be uploaded onto ARTS THREAD before October 01 2012 and clearly marked with the category chosen. Designjunction kicks off next week and we can’t wait to go along to some of the fantastic events taking place during the five day creative festival. Now in its second year, designjunction 2012 will feature more than 100 international brands who will showcase their latest collections and designs in the industrial surroundings of the Sorting Office.
