All of the pieces from this collection are functional, with emphasis being placed on an engaging interaction with the vessels during use. The unglazed bases of the bone china vessels are finished to a soft satin touch, which warms to the skin. This creates a contrast of texture with the high gloss sheen, achieved through the transparent glaze, which coats the rest of the form. As well as platinum adorned bone china, the saucers have also been produced in high fired earthenware; which has a very subtle opalescent quality, and a complimentary natural fawn colour.
The more dramatic geometric plinths are also ornamented with platinum through a combination of prints and the more textural etching and embossing process. The final nod to the architectural muse is the centre-piece concrete base which locates four vessels; three large and one small.
