Aleksandra Milne is a designer/maker whose work crosses boundaries of jewellery and wearable art.

She combines traditional silversmithing techniques with contemporary surface application, such as paint and organic materials.

Inspiration derives from an interest in the many parts of the personality that are kept out of view.

She uses overlooked sections of her surroundings to represent this concept and in the form of her brooches reveals their existence to the viewer.

In June 2012, Milne will be exhibiting her collection Subpersonalities at the National College of Art and Design Graduate Exhibition and New Designers, London with more exhibitions to be confirmed.
