Graduate Collection - THERE's NO HUMAN FOCUS
Places stand abandoned, neglected of any human focus. They appear as though they were occupied only yesterday. Often depicting a sudden exit, to which it appears as though people merely stood up and walked away, never to return. In the wake of this sudden abandonment is the diminishing state to which the buildings remain, many crumbling from within only leaving stark outlines.
Development of THERE's NO HUMAN FOCUS.
Development of this collection was based upon NO HUMAN FOCUS,meaning without the intervention of human control. A control then avoided throughout designing as it appeared more appropriate to respond through the method of blind drawing, meaning designs took shape similar to how an abandoned building would diminish without human control.
Omission, deletion, and Destruction - NICOLE FARHI
This collection explored the lost identities that through the demolition of homes had been forgotten. The remains are all that is left. No faces,no names, only remains. Piecing together the remains would begin to form identities. Embroidering their life history, beginning to forge those identities lost.
