Sustainable designs
I am very interested in sustainability in design. This project shows this through my use of recycled materials to create textured and intricate collages, which have then been made into repeat patterns using Photoshop.
Aerial view patterns
These designs were created from my bold monochrome drawings inspired by aerial views of landfill sites. I then laser cut through the black and white prints and layered brightly coloured, hand dyed fabric behind.
Discarded objects
Ambitious and exciting designs inspired by the piles of discarded objects taken to landfill sites. My desire was to firstly highlight our wasteful habits, but also to give new life to things that have been thrown away.
Laser cut designs
Inspired by my drawings of discarded objects that are sent to landfill, I laser cut shapes out of recycled packaging. Then, using Photoshop, I manipulated these small shapes to create all over patterns.
