I am at the end of my degree where I studied a four year BA (Hons.) Fashion course at Northumbria University. My Portfolio is traditional with a sport-inspired and contemporary twist, which is aimed at the upper High Street man. My main collection includes statement pieces which provide a focal point.

I am very adaptable and throughout my education and working life I have balanced the requirement of teamwork and individual work. I am self motivated and able to work on my own.  However I realise the time to ask questions and involve others as I believe it is important to receive relevant input to achieve better outcomes.

I am an honest, dedicated and conscientious individual who is motivated to achieve the highest standard possible. I apply these qualities to everything I do and ensure that any decisions I make are based on my personal beliefs and values.

Experience

I worked at Burberry for a year long placement, This was a very exciting experience and I learned a lot from my time there. My role was a junior Menswear CAD designer this involved extensive use of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. This enabled me to become competent in these systems which I have put to use in the development of my designs in particular my final collection and portfolio.

Whilst at Burberry both team work and individual work were essential, I worked as an individual developing the colours for the line book that would be sent out to the buyers. My responsibility as a team member involved linking in with other team members’ workloads, specification drawings, assisting with the layout of the line book and planning and organising workloads.

 The various projects and final collection have allowed me to express my design skills to develop a range of clothing aimed at both male and female fashion; they are quite different styles which shows my ability to design across a range which would attract interest from people across a wide spectrum.
