In my work I am constantly searching for concepts that will challenge me with unexpected design solutions.

Textile design offers a freedom to experiment with a vast range of materials and create without excessive preconceptions about the outcome.

The endless creative possibilities knit has to offer is something I appreciate,in which both 2 and 3-dimensional works can be combined.

I value the communicative aspect in design and enjoy exploring how my work can become interactive and responsive.

I believe in the composition of a fabric as an opportunity to introduce new materials and craft techniques, as well as being a process of discovery. Every project is finished with a new set of skills and knowledge, which will then lead to new creative journeys. 

In the future I would like to participate in collaborative projects as I imagine Textile design and art to be a field with unlimited expressions and  innovation possibilities. 

This project explores how the design process and final outcomes are influenced by restricted access to materials, considering we are 'living on a planet with limited resources', Jackson, T.

Inspired by the 'means to an end' mentality, observed on the vivid streets of Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, Brazil, a place where all kinds of objects and materials are being sold, acquired, passed on, thrown away or re-utilised by creative ‘street inventors’.

The concept takes on the challenge of how restricted access to materials defines the creative outcome with unexpected design solutions, unlikely combinations of shapes, textures and colours – the almost uncontrollable design outcome.
