I have recently completed my final year studying for a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design (Ind) at the University of Leeds.

Alongside university, I have been, and still work as a freelance designer for Madison Hosiery Ltd., which is based in Leeds. I have worked on ranges for various high street stores, with my designs being sold to Next and Dorothy Perkins, to name a few. Working whilst at university demonstrates my time management skills, and allows me to use relevant CAD skills.

In 2009, I had a six month placement at MaoCouture in Newcastle, where I was a personal assistant. As it was a small business, I explored a variety of areas: marketing; research; design; and production.

In February 2010, I volunteered at Emmanuel College in Gateshead to produce the costumes for their production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It involved designing, making and fitting ten outfits. 

I designed and produced two outfits which were selected to appear in the Leeds RAG Fashion Show 2011.  They appeared in a feature which was dedicated to two fashion students as well as a local Leeds designer.
