Tordis Baldursdottir is an Icelandic ceramic designer.

She finished her BA(Hons) in Ceramics from The University of Cumbria, where she did research into the market for  everyday tableware and came to the conclusion that if you wanted something like finer tableware that could be used for everyone and also people that need everyday tableware, then there is no choice.

So she designed a set of tableware that can fit for everyone and does not really look like everyday tableware but has all the neacessarry funcational lines that need to be in everyday tableware. Those lines appear as the main aesthetic features of the design.

There are two lines of the design - The Wave and the Dune.

The inspiration for the aesthetic lines of the design come from the strong forces of nature, the lines that nature makes by its forces.
