London born womenswear and textile designer Barbara Hamilton, was recently identified as one of the most promising graduate fashion designers by the UK's leading newspaper 'The Observer'.

When asked to describe the inspiration behind her work, Barbara referenced her love of natural fibers and fabrics. "I did an experiment to see how the earth manipulated fabrics when buried over a long period of time. Patterns in nature such as rock formations, fossil graphics etc, were really the starting point that lead me to explore the origin of materials. All of this work eventually lead me to the beauty of Africa, and the touching story of Waris Dirie"
