My intent is to create sculptural figurative works that are aesthetically engaging with social, romantic and realistic qualities. It is also important for me to use modern technology, as well as traditional materials and methods, to achieve this.

 As a woman and mother my experiences have led me to question what is woman’s true identity and has it been lost in the pursuit of equality? 

For my final major project I wanted to celebrate motherhood, a theme that has been expressed through sculpture by humans since the beginning of civilisation, but a subject today that seems to have been pushed aside by education, career aspirations and financial constraints.
