For as long as I can remember styling and designing has been a passion for me. From my first taste of garment construction whilst doing my GCSEs through to studying at degree level I have had the drive and ambition to learn and develop news skills and techniques.

I feel this drive shows through my work with experimentation and use of different techniques within my garments. My strengths lie within silk painting, embellishment and knitting. I will forever be developing these skills pushing myself to the next level.

Whilst studying my degree I have decided to go in to teaching. Through placement at the comprehensive school I used to attend, my ambition to become a design and technology teacher has grown immensely.

I found the satisfaction I had from inspiring and teaching the children new skills gave me a great sense of worth. I hope that I can give students in the future the same creativity and confidence that my teachers brought out in me.
