My name is Catherine Nuttall and I'm a contemporary jeweller, graduating with BA Honours in Contemporary Applied Arts from the University of Cumbria.

I’m inspired by folklore and I like capturing the romance of a story.

Stories have woven their way into society through the tales we tell visitors to our cities, our superstitions, and the names we give landmarks.

I’m particularly interested in Scottish folklore and its relationship to the romantic scenery that accompanies it, from tall rocky mountains to crisp white beaches.My current project showcases both my enamelling and my silversmithing skills.
