Furniture: Contemporary Design BA (Hons)

Currently finishing my degree at Bucks New University, the National School of Furniture, specialising in Contemporary Furniture Design.

Studying here has allowed me to explore the capabilities of design, learning how designs develop from a simple sketch and initial concept to the realisation.

Throughout my 3 years at university I have worked on live briefs set by Ercol, SCP and Suck UK which has given me an insight into how the design industry works, with each having very different clientele.

My degree collection includes SeStore, LayerCake and TrAble. Each one expresses the different sides to my personality, along with trying to create a new technique.

In the near future I hope to carry on exploring new avenues and techniques in design and to expand my TrAble and LayerCake pieces into a collection using the same techniques. I also hope to collaborate with people who I have met so far along my journey into furniture design...
