My main interests as a woven textile designer lie in creating three-dimensional textile designs which facilitate movement, innovation, and allow them to be used in a variety of different settings.

My inspiration has been drawn from the beach, focusing in particular on the ripples and organic forms of the ocean. I use woven shibori techniques and heat-shrink methods for sculptural effect.

I have never being afraid to experiment to achieve what I have envisioned in my head. In particular, I have made significant use of material and yarns which have distinctive characteristics, such as monofilament and reflective foiling.

My woven textile designs are built upon the idea that they should be fit for a variety of purposes around the home such as lighting enclosures, sculptural or wall art.

I see my role as merely providing a suggestion for a purpose, the customer can then use it as a basis for what they have envisioned.

I welcome collaborations and commissions for one-off interior pieces.

I am currently starting the Designer in Residence program at University of Ulster to build my collection further.
