I have been a glass maker and designer for the past ten years, working in Holland and England.

My current work focuses on the spiritual connection a person can have to an object and its percieved contents.

The work displayed here is part of my exploration into the ethereal properties of modern spiritual symbolism and glass. 

I make use of specially prepared materials to paint the image that is suspended inside the object.

I try to achieve a sense of movement through playfull use of lines and marks on the surface, creating movement within.

After finishing the decorations, I will bring the objects back into the studio where they are warmed up so they can be shaped and finished by hand.

After a long cooling cycle I start the process of etching the surface and cutting and polishing to achieve the final result.
