My passion for creating has taken me on a journey of discovery. I am a creator who has always been interested and happiest when I'm designing and making, from as far back as I can remember. 

Glass as a medium has drawn and held my interest for many years in addition to my resent exploration of ceramics. I could possibly spend the rest of my life expressing the inexhaustible potential and possibility of working in glass as well as ceramics. 

My recent work reflects my dual nationality of Jamaica and England. The glasswork of which are either blown or cast are bold, colourful, vibrant and strong forms. In contrast to the glass, I design and make ceramics by slip casting and hand building in stoneware or porcelain. This is smoke fired to bring out the beautiful textures and earthy, warm, soft tonal qualities of the clay. Several surface techniques are applied to my pieces. 

My aim within my collection is to show the wealth of cultural influences that colour my upbringing. The work expresses movement and the jovial use of the cultural language that people so readily cast away as being uneducated, but is very meaningful.
