Dessewffy is the Melbourne-based studio of furniture designer and graduate architect Felicity Dessewffy. This studio creates elegant, sculptural and intriguing designs, with an apparent simplicity belying their intricacies.  Dessewffy is interested in the impact that made objects have on people. On first interaction, the pieces should arouse the user's interest and lead them to investigate further. The studio engages design to connect people with pieces that are sometimes overlooked. Dessewffy is passionate about creating beautiful objects that add to the fabric of the client’s life as a constant source of pleasure. Sustainability, both social and environmental, is a cornerstone of the design ethos which informs each project, be it architectural, interior, furniture or product design. After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from the University of Melbourne in 2005, Felicity worked in Architecture firms in Australia and Europe. In November 2011 she graduated from RMIT Furniture Design and Making, and established Dessewffy in 2012.
