I specialise in surface design for fashion fabrics and create eye-catching garment shapes. I have experience in childrenswear and also card and gift design. Successfully using bright, contrasting colours throughout my design process, I create bold and striking effects.

In my latest projects I have used world cultures and ancient architecture for my main source of inspiration. I create contemporary designs with traditional influences, using visual research of photographs and observational drawing. The techniques I enjoy using are screen printing, heat transfer printing, hand painting and hand embroidery.

I have a strong understanding of textile design and experience of using a range of techniques. Now I have completed my degree I would like to go into teaching, running workshops and freelance design. I feel the experience I have gained from completing projects set by industry has been invaluable and has informed my professional practice. I am self motivated, committed and positive.
