I have recently graduated with a Foundation degree in Textile Design with my main focus being on surface pattern for interiors. I have acquired a combination of skills such as screen printing, laser cutting and digital printing and still want to learn more and push my design ideas to the limit so will be returning to University next term to complete the BA Hons Design (Contemporary Textiles) course where I hope to add to my portfolio and go on to pursue a career in surface pattern design.

I have had the chance to take part in work placements at the likes of Graham & Brown Wallcoverings and got an insight into how the industry works! 

I enjoy working on different scales, using print, colour and CAD. I like the whole design process from the very beginning sketches through to creating mood boards; they allow me to visually explore ideas and experiment with composition. I tend to gather my inspiration from textures, shape and pattern and my work is usually linked with a floral theme.
