edwin. has just been launched by Edwin Williams following his graduation from the National School of Furniture, Bucks.

Plaster Collection

The furniture reflects and positively reinforces the unique and imperfect nature of all of us. Certain parameters may be premeditated, but the more subtle qualities are indeterminate; an infinitely complex and inherently irregular result of material and process. 

Each piece is made in water-based acrylic plaster, reinforced with glass fibre. Plaster is generally used as a means for perfect replication, particularly for superficial decoration. Here it is being used to make furniture which is both inherently irregular and structural. These irregularities are a result of either the fabric form or mix of pigments within the plaster.

The prototype pieces shown are available for sale, alternatively may be made to order on a commission basis. Most are suitable for outdoor use.
