Before studying at The Sir John Cass Department of Art, Media and Design, I went on a ten week Jewellery making course in my local borough just to be certain that I was making the right descision. That was back in 2003 and I've not looked back since!

I've been on a never-ending journey of discovery and the more I immerse myself into designing, silversmithing and jewellery making, the more I lose myself in this beautiful ancient yet contemporary art form. I have studied ND Design, Jewellery and Silversmithing, HND Design, Jewellery and Silversmithin and a BA Hons in Design, Jewellery and Silversmithing.

My thoughts and actions that led to the inspiration for my current pieces

When I get on the bus or tube, depending on what my intuition tells me, I often turn my engagement ring around so the diamond faces me. This action makes me feel safer, the palm becomes a cocoon, hiding the value or assumed value of the gem.

I have been working on this theme and have designed a range of hand pieces which reflect this. In this series, there is a shared secret between the maker and the wearer. Materials used are base metal, Silver, Gold and Spinel.
