Swedish born Emma Lundgren presents a new direction for textile innovation and the implication of technology within textile/fashion design through the complex synergy of 21st century techniques with artisan tradition such as print, knit and embroidery.
Her unique aesthetic and vision of the textile landscape has already secured this young designer awards such as, Colette Prize for Spirit-2010, Embroiders Guild- 2010, Michael Treschow Scholarship-2010 and being named as '2010's up-and-coming fashion designers' by Swedish ELLE.
Her expressive folk inspired signature style inspired by her native Scandinavia has been exhibited internationally in Stockholm, London, Paris and soon New York, she has already achieved notable press placement internationally in style and textile publications. Lundgren studied a BA Textile print at Central St Martins before she was quickly snapped up to work on projects for H&M, John Galliano, McLaren and Nokia for her expertise in cutting edge textile applications.
She then completed a MA program in Textile Design Mixed Media at the Royal College of Art, where she truly defined her signature of what the Emma Lundgren aesthetic is really about.
