My work is inspired by urban environments and the beauty and humour that can be found within them which people tend to overlook.

One specific aspect I’ve been inspired by is graffiti. I’m intrigued by all kinds of graffiti, from large murals in Amsterdam which use entire buildings as their canvas, to random words of expression scrawled over toilet doors.

All of my pieces are unique and are made from of a wide variety of materials which range from enamel and stone to more “disposable” and “worthless” materials, like cardboard and actual pieces of graffiti paint.

By using actual graffiti within my work and drawing focus to it rather than precious material content, I’m illustrating my belief that value and beauty can be found anywhere - even within “worthless” materials, like fragments of “vandalism”.
