My collection triggered from the idea of photographing lost property.Working with my research into lost and found I wanted to develop something new.This notion of forgotten objects being reborn into a new life with multiple purposes led to Buddhist beliefs and Tibetan culture. This has inspired a vibrant, playful and lively textile led collection.

The collection triggered from my life long love of cheesey 80s Hollywood comedy 'The Three Amigos'. I looked at the Hollywood dipiction of mariachi inspired mexican dress, as well as traditional mexican textiles and mexican pattern cutting.

FAD 2012 BRIEF FINALIST. I built this 2 outfit collection around my mothers stories of my Great Uncle Walter. Walter died in 1992 and since I have grown up around his memory as well as physically being surrounded by the many things he left to us. Over the years this has allowed me to piece together my own picture, appreciation and love of a man I never actually knew.
