Mapping placeCLICK TO VIEW PROJECT IMAGES
A project I did at university based around looking at a place and basing designs on that. I chose my hometown of Clevedon, particularly looking at the seafront and pier for inspiration.
RSA project - Tomorrow's WorkplaceCLICK TO VIEW PROJECT IMAGES
A project I did at university from a RSA project about creating designs for a workspace. I decided to look at modern architecture and the Bauhaus movement, creating designs for an office space. My idea was to generally brighten up workspaces and use more multi-purpose furniture to allow people more freedom of how to work. I'm not sure how well that came across but I like some of the designs I created at least.
Menswear projectCLICK TO VIEW PROJECT IMAGES
This is a project which started off my interest in menswear. I started off trying to look at androgyny but that proved difficult to show visually and translate into designs so it became more about manipulating paper and fabric pieces in interesting ways. The prints themselves were taken from looking at the woven structures of a suit jacket which I took apart and printed onto.
Bare BonesCLICK TO VIEW PROJECT IMAGES
My final major project at university. I started off looking at anatomy but eventually ended up focusing mainly on bones, particularly animal skulls, due mainly to what was easiest to find primary resources to draw from. I experimented a lot with dyeing garments to print on and combining different techniques together.
Florals and geometrics.CLICK TO VIEW PROJECT IMAGES
A project I worked on in my spare time using some drawings which I had done while at university which I thought could be used better. As florals aren't one of my strengths I wanted to try and make them interesting for myself by combining them with some geometrics, while improving my ability to create continuous repeats.
