My interest in the combination of art and science led me to experiment with crystal growth as my inspiration. 

I used this as a visual source and developed it as a method and material for creating work. 

This curiosity stemmed from a childhood fascination with a rock and fossil shop which led to a small crystal specimen collection. 

Fuelled by a passion for material exploration, combining the natural and synthetic; I use a combination of metals, moulded resin, rubber coatings, wood and crystal elements. 

My work explores themes of fragility and impermanence which are developed into wearable objects.

I am a graduate of 2012 and will be Artist in Residence at Glasgow School of Art for 2012/13
