During my final year as a BA Hons Textiles student specialising in weave, I developed a keen interest in nature’s forms and textures. From this I produced drawings based around specific elements of nature, birds nests, trees, tree bark and select rural landscapes.

I developed my hand woven fabrics to reflect characteristics found from my research and my drawing records, and with an interest and knowledge about movement within fabrics I was able to manipulate my hand woven work post-loom, to create three-dimensional features with natural movement to both sides.

This accompanied by a dyed colour palette personalised through experimentation forms an ideal basis for fashion garments and offers unusual qualities to each piece.
