When working with these, slight splitting occurs within my bowls, these ‘faults’, I came to accept and love.

Nature is the most dominant thing on this planet and even when you try to control it, some things are still unstoppable.

I have always had an interest in nature; both flora and fauna, but before last year, have never had the opportunity to work with nature in its purist form.

I have taken inspiration for this project primarily from wood; its texture, grain and all of the abnormalities that are involved in its growth.

I wanted to explore these properties, along with the natural material itself and produce functional tableware.
