Global fashion - Local tradition
In reaction to globalization, we feel the need to conserve and enjoy the local. This project celebrates the uniqueness of traditional Norwegian culture. The concept is wedged between tradition and modernity; new materials is applied to traditional techniques.
Mountain landscape
This project was inspired by the Norwegian mountain landscape, seen both from a distance and as close up. Elastic yarns is used in combination with silk and wool to create organic textures.
Neo ornamental
This project was about exploring three-dimensional shapes in textile form. The knitted fabrics have been worked into to create soft structures.
Norwegian wool
This project was inspired by Mark Rothko's paintings. Knitted fabrics in wool have been felted together with woven silk fabrics to create texture and sections of colours. The wool is produced in Norway.
