I am a process driven designer maker inspired by materials, textures, forms and colour. I consider my work as sculptural ‘doodles’ for the body with a starting point somewhere between the natural and surreal world around me. 

My processes are usually taken from non-jewellery areas. I push them to different extremes so that they somehow conform to the subject of jewellery. The sculptures that I create are deisgned to be entertaining and slightly awkward but above anything else they must be touched. The aim of my work is to break down barriers between contemporary jewellery, art and jewellery, not for myself but for my audience.

My choice of materials varies from yarns/ wools to plastics and more synthetic substances; they are usually dictated by how their textures and surfaces work together to create something aesthetically pleasing and playfully ornate that emerges from the body.
