I am a recent graduate (October 2011) from Cambridge School of Art with a degree in Illustration BA (Hons).

My particular interest within this field lies in narrative illustration for storybooks, where I enjoy working in a series with existing texts/themes.

However, I am currently expanding my interests into shorter projects such as gift card designs and book covers to challenge my design skills. 

My exhibit for the New Designers Show is my final major project, a book containing 12 double spread illustrations in response to 'The Nightingale' By Hans Christian Andersen.

I have taken the oriental theme of the story and made this my own through manipulating existing patterns and incorporating them into areas of my drawings.

I have designed each page to allow for the pattern as the focus, creating a new way of working that is exciting for me as a potential Illustrator/Designer.
