The current furniture work by Harris Chapman explores several aspects of design. Firstly, the function of this multi-use shelving system allows for easy self-assembly (it is all slot-together and it can be assembled upright), the ability to add more shelves and is strong enough to be used as a bench. Secondly, the material finish explores a unique take on the ubiquitous construction grade material OSB. The materials used are FSC certified and the finishes are all water-based and environmentally friendly.
This system is ideal for customers living in small spaces or require maximum use of a space to store and easily access items. The finish reflects the urban environment to which these small living spaces can be situated and so provides a emotive focal point to any interior that connects with the busy energetic lifestyles of city-dwellers.
