Ieva Poriete was born in Riga, Latvia in 1989.

Ieva's interest in fashion started when she was a little girl. Her mother asked 'what kind of pillow would you like to have?' She asked for one in a heart shape with a mouse on it, a mouse that will bring her sweet dreams every night. Little girls grow up, but the idea that you can make anything that comes in your imaginary stayed.

So as a teenager, while her parents were at work, she used to experiment with all different fabrics from her mother's storage cupboard. She lay on the floor and drew a shape around hers body directly onto the fabric. She was hoping to create a top, but instead she got this T-shape creation with armholes smaller then the wrist.
