The emergence of man and his contribution to an ongoing reduction and loss of animal diversity due to habitat destruction.

HOLOCENE EXTINCTION is constructed from in depth research into this subject matter, exploring animal makeup, structure, texture and pattern contrasted with manmade structures of factories and industry.

Using this research hand drawn imagery has been developed, with Hard edged man made structural imagery juxtaposed with bold interpretations of these majestic animals, translated for screen and digital printing.

These fabrics are then elaborately enriched with beads, sequins, furs and non traditional units for embellishment aimed at high end menswear.

I was runner up in the George at ASDA Graduate Fashion Weeks national competition 2012, where I was presented with a crystal star, cash prize and the opportunity of a work placement.

Since doing my placement at George several of my designs have went into production and went on sale in March 2012 as part of the girls wear spring summer collection. 

I have also completed a work placement at Timorous Beasties, Glasgow 2011
