My current body of work is an observation on the nature of trust, the value of the spoken word and the role they play in how we define ourselves and our interactions with others. 

My work explores the interactions between people as they begin to form bonds and relationships and gradually build trust with one another. In particular, I have laid focus upon when the acerbic and cruel words of another break such bonds and the lingering effects these can have upon an individual.  

In many cases these hurtful words become ingrained upon the psyche, colouring ones perception of oneself. Over time this can lead to a total debasement of self and the crippling of an individual's sense of value and esteem.

I have been at Sunderland University studying Glass and Ceramics while specialising in hot glass.

I tend to work the majority of the time with clear glass as I like to encorporate engraving text on my pieces. I feel that engraving on clear glass gives me such a beautiful aesthetic quality, and also I love playing with the shadows that the words create when light is introduced to the piece.
