I am a designer maker who specialises in ceramics and textiles.

I enjoy working with mark making, surface texture and surface pattern. Context and narrative feature heavily in my design philosophy as I feel that this gives my work purpose in such a materialistic world. I have also been researching deeply in to design philosophies of British designers from past to present and have found this as a source of inspiration for my work.

My most recent project features the ideals of Craftivism and uses a combination of ceramic and textiles to portray an observation about our bodies and the organs within.

I decided to focus on how I could hone the portrayal of my identity through the artefacts that I create. To do this I decided to make a statement about our bodies as vessels which loose their importance without the objects they store within. I wanted the observers to percieve the organs within in us asan integral part of our exhistance and as a thing of beauty. I gained inspiration for this project from Ancient Egyptian routines used in preparation for the afterlife.
