My aim is to create handmade, unique cast glass pieces inspired by colour, form and process. Focusing on these elements my work explores how to modify and manipulate each piece using different techniques to enhance the aesthetic properties of kiln formed glass.

To develop my pieces I use inclusions such as copper wires, foils and oxides to introduce colour and fluidity, which also emphasises the material and exterior qualities. Experimentation with kiln settings, moulds and polishing effects have influenced the creative process.

I aspire for my work to be seen as precious – a keepsake; something that you would not easily discard and that you would want to hold on to.
