Direction

I take an experimental, bold, unique, design style focusing on a mixed media, innovative approach to my work. Colour and creating textures are key, manipulating these to create depth within a 2D medium.

Inspiration

I produce work driven by my enviroment from everyday mundane objects to experiences from my home, travels and university. Movement and capturing the effects of light within my work have been a key inspiration this year. Pushing me to explore different techniques and strutures which would allow me to create these effects.

Medium

I am based in weave and have focused this year on pushing and creating innovative jacquard designs. Creating dramatic, drawn textured effects within this medium. My love for experimenting and using processes has led me to push these designs and other materials with screenprinting techniques. Creating final collections of woven, constructed, screenprinted and digital print designs.

I have collaborated these designs with perspex to create key statement jewellery pieces to go alongside my final fabric collections.
