I am a studant at Leeds College of Art due to graduate from Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design in 2012.

My work is mosty handmade and textural, however I do digitally print some of my wallpaper designs.  I base my designs from lino block prints which I cut by hand and print onto paper then scan into the computer.

Fabric dyeing plays a big part in my design process, I think it is key to get the right dyed ground to work from, I experiment a lot with getting textures within my dyed fabrics.The majority of my wallpaper designs are digitally printed to get a strong textural background, then screenprinted ontop of. The feel for my work is quite traditional home style but with a modern outlook.

Skills

Skilled in various dye methods including shibori resist dyeing, Very proficient screenprinter, skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, knowledge of embroidery, extreemly skilled in cutting and printing lino and wood blocks, work well with others,

Upon graduation I would like to work/intern at textile interior companies in the united kingdom and abroad.
