Rust

Movement
This project came out of how people move. I looked into how people dance and the movement of their body. The basis of my colourings and trail ideas came long exposure photographs of a person using a fire staff.
Containment
I was given the title of containment and I decided to explore the idea of containing life. I find the idea of the protection of a shell for sea life. Shells are considered beautiful and some very precious and yet their basic meaning is to protect life.
Africa Snapshot Series
This is my current body of work. Inspiration came from my experiences of living and working in Kenya for a summer. The collection encompasses a rnage of classical vessel forms, which are imbellished with colourful stringer designs.
