My final collection is a range of woven sculptural vessels that have been inspired by my use of textile techniques within a metal working tradition.

The weaving process is central to my work and has driven the development of these forms. Using a combination of base and precious metal shim and wire woven together I develop the pattern, with particular reference to the flow of lines and the shadows cast.

I plan my weaves quite logically and mathematically, I weave my sheet into pattern pieces which I have designed to create my desired forms.

Due to the nature of the process I can plan the weave, create the forms and control the finish but no two pieces will ever be the same.
