My final collection Memento is based on memory and medicine visualised through digital print. The patterns are bold and contrasting, both in colour and pattern.

This reflects the current contemporary direction in fashion, such as designers Mary Katrantzou, who use print in such an exciting and creative way.

The prints I have designed use bright colours and this symbolizes the happy feeling people have when they recover from an illness.

I want to create textiles that make people feel happy, as I was when I was small, playing with dolls and as I have felt, making and creating my own fabrics whilst studying at LCF.

The printed designs in my final collection incorporate various elements that are used in Chinese medicine.

From the photographic print of  herb cabinet drawers, found in special herbal shops, to my own illustrated drawings of healing herbs.

I also use abstract art techniques to create the Shard print which symbolizes different fragments of our collective memory.
