I was born in Leeds and my roots are working class. I have maintained a part time job within the same family. I quickly learned that things are not handed to you, there is no fairy godmother and you have to work hard to achieve in life.

I have always been passionate about fashion and through the years I have obtained various skills that will help me within the fashion industry. I achieved my ND in fashion and clothing design at Leeds College of Art and Design in 2005, at the same time I also obtained level one and two in OCN Menswear Tailoring.

I then took a year out from education where I started supplying a range of garments and accessories to a small number of boutiques in the Leeds area. Through my sales I could see my project was working well but I still felt I could further build on my existing skills, so I decided to return to education.

I started my degree at Bradford College in 2007 already competent in pattern cutting and with a good knowledge of machinery and sewing techniques. However, I had a basic drawing style and little in the way of computer skills.

Now at the end of my degree, I feel comfortable using most computer packages required, including Kaledo style, Photoshop and word processing packages and have developed a unique and quirky way of illustration that just sums me up in one word.
