The social insect's hive:
This project explores the construction of a bee hive, the precision of the shapes created allows them to fit together allowing you to build up and break down the units to adapt to the environment and amount of space available.
Adaptability
Three dimensional modular units that hold adaptable properties. These units fold and transform in to a variety of different shapes changing the design each time they are folded.
Fold and Transform
Inspiration was taken from a combination of insect built structures and foldable packaging design. The fabric has been given enhanced structural properties with architectural references and multiple folding properties.
