Being specialised in woven textiles, I have learnt a great deal about good attention to detail, and have a passion to get involved in projects and the development of ideas. My aspired outcomes, strongly influence my designs and work process. The risks of experiment and excitement through my work are what I thrive, and love to be versatile and keep my work diverse, which allows chance to explore new discoveries.

Work Experience

Ella Blake  Freelance Designer
Producing unique, on-going scarf designs for specific briefs.CAD designs have been commissioned, and are currently being manufactured and sold.

Stephen Walters and Sons  Intern
I gained knowledge through the process of the customer demands, colour trending and critically choosing specific samples for clients. Thenceforth observed the development into production of final woven fabrics for men’s neckwear and couture womenswear markets.

De La Warr Pavillion  Young Curator
Worked in a team as a young curator for six months, creating decisions, themes and concepts for an exhibition we designed, 'All Things Fall Apart'. Commissioned young students work, and lead one to one help and encouragement throughout process.

Achievements

Society of Colourists and Dyers  1st Place London Heats
Was selected to enter and took 1st place at London Regional Heats for the SDC International Design Competition for 'Fashioning Colour Responsively'. Each regional winner was put forward for the UK Finals, which took place in Bradford. I came 2nd and was awarded Runner Up.

De La Warr Pavillion  1st Place Young Artist of the Year

My artwork was displayed in the exhibition ‘Conflict’. I was nominated, and went on to win first place ‘Young Artist of the year’ award.
