Laura Chestney is a British artefact designer who creates high quality accessories which push the boundaries of current fashion.

A combination of plastics such as acrylic and pvc with lamb nappa leather and metal fixings are unique to her designs.

Her innovative approach towards both body adornments and various other pieces including bags and eyewear is something quite refreshing in the fashion industry.  

Her obsession with Perspex and PVC has meant that these beautiful creations are something to be desired.

By laser cutting, heating moulding and finishing the acrylic, she truly embraces the materials treating them to create a quality product. Self dyed pvc and then hand cut, makes each artefact truthfully hand crafted and exclusive.

The translation of 2D to 3D is a very thought out process, trying to keep a quirky twist with the designs. Concept drives her projects.

Her ideas flourish from simplistic drawings into card machetes through to the final product.

She continually used the notion of hard and soft materials, a combination which has worked brilliantly. The inspiration, that interchangeable artefacts could be show stopper is what drives her.
